It’s been a jam-packed couple of years since Beam’s mainnet launch on the 3rd of January 2019, and we are proud to see that community engagement is continuing to give us the encouragement to progress and evolve Beam as the world’s best-in-class, private cryptocurrency. Where we endeavour to ensure the easiest user experience within our product family, we continue to listen and learn from your guidance and recommendations as Beam turned two!
Since our Confidential Asset survey in May of 2020 we have continued to keep our ears to the ground and we still want to hear your recommendations and preferences going forwards. Our dedicated team is always on hand in our chat channels ( Telegram: https://t.me/BeamPrivacy Discord: https://discord.gg/vqFy4Ey ) and you can add comments to our github pages - https://github.com/BeamMW/beam - where you are also able to subscribe to ongoing alerts of Beam development, direct to your email (The Github watch/unwatch repositories option). Here is what we have seen so far:
So after over 180 releases and a wealth of new features in constant evolution, we have arrived in 2021! Where we still want to reach out to find out what you want to see improved on Beam and consider every issue raised, we have many things to look ahead to, in the near future with the mainnet launch of BeamX and confidential asset support in our graphic user interface wallets.
Stick with us, it’s about to get very exciting indeed…
Inching in on the end of last year, we kicked off Beam Outreach with a small group, for ironing out bugs, testing and bringing the platform up to full speed. This will be launched to the wider community, and open to all in the beginning of February, with a final date for full launch to be announced shortly.
We had the kickoff call early last week, to go over the platforms processes, and was great to have the early adopters getting amongst!
The overarching goal for Beam Outreach is to increase awareness, taking Beam to a wider audience, and thus growing the community. This is one of the things we are most excited for in 2021. It will be a great way to not only be apart of the growth, but also influential in how that growth takes place!
Beam + Encode Hackathon
Over the last months Beam has been taking part in the Encode Club Hackathon. Coming up on the 6th of January, Alex Romanov will be leading a Beam workshop for those looking to build on BeamX. The call also also open to any of those in the community interested in joining!
Time: 5:30 - 6:30PM GMT
