Beam News
A bustling week with the latest Tesnet release coming to us in EE 5.3. This release comes with fresh additions to the Atomic Swaps boards, namely ETH, along with Erc20s USDT, DAI, and WBTC. For those looking to help out with the testing process, download here, jump into the Beam Chat, and share any feedback, issues, or improvements to be made.
The Atomic Swaps with Ethereum require setting up an account with Infura, to utilise their public APIs. Raskul has thrown together a wicked guide, taking you throught the full process of getting set up, check it out and get your swaps on!
Research and Development
After rigorous testing of 5.3 is complete, expect to see ETH, USDT, DAI, and WBTC Atomic Swaps hitting mainnet.
Work on BeamX Confidential DeFi platform pushes forward, with Ferocious Fermion 6.0 expected to come with UI for Confidential Assets, and support for Beam Shaders (Smart Contract support). The upgrade will require a hard fork, so stay tuned for the announcement.
Confidential Sidechains POC is nearing completion, with a demo of such coming soon. This will also demonstrate the Beam side of the decentralised bridges, coming at a later date for Ethereum and Polkadot.
Ways to improve the UX of the multiple addresses is being explored, to provide a smother experience and onboarding process.
For more insights on what is on the cards for Beam, check out the latest interview with Alex Romanov, as he sits down with StealthEX exchange, to talk Beam and Confidential DeFi!
