Beam News
A big week for Beam with much on the way in the coming weeks. One such release is the NFT Marketplace V2, due for release tomorrow. This is but one of the Dapps set for main net release, with many to follow in the near future.
Let’s dive in!
NFT Marketplace V2
The Beam NFT Marketplace V2 is set for launch tomorrow! There was a slight delay given the need for the 24h contract update period, so the launch is set to take place tomorrow. The current marketplace will be down for a few hours (withdrawals still enabled) from early afternoon tomorrow to allow for the migration, with the NFT Marketplace V2 expected to be live by the evening of the 19th.
Beam NFT Marketplace V2 comes packed with added features, IPFS integration, and the ability to for users to mint NFTs themselves so it is an exciting time for confidentially literate artists the world over. Stay tuned for the announcement and write up coming tomorrow!
BANS
The Beam Anonymous Name Service, BANS for short, is gearing up for its DAPP Net release. The release is expected later this week, and will be the first time for the community to test the Dapp. After testing it is expected that the main net launch will follow soon after. Exciting times for Beamers with all that comes with the most private of on-chain identity.
Stay tuned for the launch details to get prepared for launch, and if you haven’t already, check out the current BANS description on the forum.

120$ per year for 4 digit ens alternative looks too expensive imo. Or beam name service is not ens alternative? Will beam name service be accessible from web2 w/o any additional work? Would be nice to have an easily accessible faq on beam name service too
