A busy week in the Beamverse as we push towards a plethora of releases, with 7.2 expected in the coming days bringing Asset Swaps with it, the Beam AMM DEX lining up for release this month, bridges on the horizon, and Nephrite looking to move from testnet to mainnet. Exciting times for Beam!

Let us dive in and take a quick look at Beam development, and what is coming to move further towards a decentralised environment when it comes to code!

Beam Development Future

Following the gradual transition to BeamX DAO governance, Beam development is also moving to a new phase of development process with greater community involvement and DAO control.

During the Twitter Space next week we will announce and discuss the new process, and outline its steps from raising the development plans in the Beam forum and possibly adding a new Twitter session (or allocating a portion of the existing one) to discuss them.

Once the plan is clear we will set up a process for accepting the Beam Development Proposals (BDP) and allocating bounties for its implementation where necessary.

We welcome and encourage all Beam Community members to take part in the next Space and provide feedback and comments.

Beam Space

The last Beam Space we covered Nephrite, the censorship-resistant, non-custodial, governance-less stablecoin built on the Beam blockchain. It was a great space that took a look at the different components from troves to the stability pool, and everything in-between.
