A busy week for Beam with the documentation efforts ramping up, more feature requests coming through, and some hotly anticipated Dapps on the horizon! Let us dive in and check it all out!
Documentation
Beam has incredible tech but the documentation, to put it nicely, has always been a little lacking. One of the reasons is the fast pace that Beam develops at, and the ongoing changes and upgrades to the network. With the Contract Shaders being live, the first of the Dapps having launched, and more interest outside of the Beam core devs to build on Beam, the time for change is now!
The Documentation efforts are nearing full swing, yet will be an ongoing process. Let’s take a look at the latest additions to the Beam documentation.
The latest guide is for setting up the Beam Shader SDK. As you know, Beam Shaders are Smart Contracts on the Beam network. These SCs enable developers to build decentralised applications
The next is a guide on using Beam Shaders with the CLI wallet. This takes you on a journey to interact with contracts deployed to the DAPP Net, the best place for those writing and testing Dapps!

Beam Feature Requests
There are a growing number of Beam Feature Requests for you to check out! If you have any thoughts or insights into the feature request please share your thoughts. If you want something that is not yet there, draft up your own feature request and kick off the discussions.

BAM
One such feature request was that presented in the form of BAM, Beam Anonymous Messenger, from MiMo. Given that a proof of concept was created back in the day making use of SBBS the devs are exploring wether to make this a reality. Many a key component needs to be fleshed out, from incentivising SBBS node runners, to product direction, so head on over to the BAM Forum Post, and let everyone know your thoughts!
Beam Community Projects
Reminder to all to share your project in the ‘Beam Community Projects’ forum thread. A great place to intro the community to your project, and a good way for all to keep a track of the essential info of said projects.
