Beam News!
A lot to digest this week on the Beam front! Dive in to check out the latest from the DAPP Net release, to some of what is being built on Beam.
Beam Release!
The latest release is here for DAPP Net, bringing with it a couple of key upgrades. The first is that of Feature Request #8. This adds the ability to toggle on and off Confidential Assets to enable users to select those they want to see in their wallets. This allows users to avoid-in-your face spam, and to focus on the assets you wish.
The second comes in the form of a fix for running the Beam Node in local testing mode. This allows users to be better able to test the applications they are building on Beam.
On top of this, work continues on the Secure Confidential Asset Minter contracts and user interface. This Dapp will allow an easy interface for creating Confidential Assets via smart contracts with provably limited supply. Along with this, the ability to Airdrop CAs to NFT holders is being worked on.
Beam Feature Requests
As the efforts continue to decentralise Beam development, and have the community involved more and more in what is being built, we encourage you all to check out the current Beam Feature Requests. If there is something you would like to see as a Beam FR, be sure to add it to the forum, or jump into the community and kick off discussions.
Building on Beam
With the Beam ecosystem ramping up, what better time to build on Beam and benifit from the privacy that comes with it. We asked a couple of projects to share some info on themselves for this newsletter, and if you would like your project feature in the upcoming newsletters please reach out to the team with some words on what you are building, or any news you wish shared.

PRISM
Prism is aiming to become the decentralized hub for developers to build on beam. Looking at the beam ecosystem we quickly realized the need for growing a developer community focused on beam. Prism will provide modules, infrastructure and tooling support to developers and existing community projects so they can build easily and quickly.
Prism follows the dual token model, we have Kek which is pegged to 1 beam and can only be de-pegged on the upside by the revenue generated from various services provided by the Prism Infrastructure. The other token is Prism and will be used for governance in future.
Prism is focused on building cool things that can be scaled and used by other projects. Prism is bootstrapped and no funding/token/NFT sale was held. We value the ethos of decentralized development and are always looking for suggestions, feedback, and contribution.
Current Initiatives
Building a bot with a bunch of features that will be useful to all the beam ecosystem projects
Writing articles on good development practices while developing on beam

Building TQR has been a unique Beam community endeavour and the TQR website is already live with the whitepaper and explanation of the game. Great work by Harsh in putting that together, and props to Cyberwolf on designing the rewards bot.

Beam Assets
A huge shoutout to BeamAssets.com for building a hub for all things Confidential Assets. They provide information on the all of the Beam Confidential Assets, providing easily digestible insights into the latest CA offerings. They also have the latest info on the CA swaps and give insights into the tokens based on the Bids and Asks on the swap board. A very useful sight already, and they have many a plan for the future. Excited to see the site grow, keep up the great work!
