A rough week for Beam with the unfortunate news from Binance that they will delist Beam from the exchange. This however changes little for Beam nor the ecosystem, and if anything presents an opportunity for Beam to power through the turbulence, expedite the upcoming Dapp launches, and bring as much of that volume on-chain with full privacy and decentralisation front and centre!

Unfortunately Binance has made the decision to delist Beam. Despite this, Beam continues to build for the future, one with privacy and decentralisation at its core.

One thing that has been great to see is the support coming through from the community, if you haven’t already, show some love on Twitter and let us make 2023 a big one for Beam!

Privacy will not be protected since the 26th of January. Hope you downloaded and used BEAM.mw Mobile and Desktop wallet. If you don't, it's time to use and keep the BEAM listed on Binance. You wouldn't anything like these in other blockchain projects. @cz_binance

With the delisting comes the all important task of withdrawing and securing your Beam. If they aren’t already sitting comfy in your Beam wallet, head on over to the Beam Website to download the latest wallet, withdraw your Beam and keep them securely in self custody.

This changes nothing for the Beam vision, as we push forward with the recently published Roadmap for 2023, and the much needed privacy solutions it brings!

DEX + Bridges

One thing that this situation has emphasised is the need for the Beam DEX and Bridges. The two will play an integral part in expanding the Beam ecosystem, bringing in liquidity from other networks, and reducing any reliance on centralised industry players. Privacy and decentralisation are key components to all that is happening in crypto, and Beam aims to be the go to solution for truly unstoppable applications.

Once both the Bridges and DEX having undergone testing they will be ready for mainnet, opening a new chapter for Beam. With the launch of both comes an exciting time for BeamX, with the chance for on-chain governance, and helping bootstrap liquidity in the ecosystem.
