Beam News!

Beam continues to push forward with the upcoming releases coming closer by the day! One of the more pressing launches is that of the Beam DEX. The Dapp to trade Beam and Confidential Assets without the need to rely on a 3rd party. With the Beam bridges having launched to mainnet, the ecosystem continues to grow. The Bridge launch will be pushed this week with supporting guides, documentation and audits. For now let us take a look at the latest on the Beam DEX and Hardware wallet integration!

Beam DEX

With testing well underway, the Beam DEX is approaching its inaugural mainnet launch. With this comes some questions on how to bootstrap the initial liquidity pools for Beam and BeamX on the AMM based DEX. The team is preparing a forum post outlining the intended launch parameters, and invites the community to start sharing their ideas on the matter in the Beam community channels. The Beam DEX will be a huge boost to the ecosystem, allowing for trade to seamlessly take place between Beam and Confidential Assets, and for Beamers to easily provide liquidity on the decentralised exchange. It will also presents the possibility to generate assets for the BeamX DAO treasury, with the potential for a % fee on swaps being directed there.

Hardware Wallet

With the Hardware Wallet developments nearing completion, the time has come for testing! A Telegram group has been set up specifically for HW wallet testing. You can join here to take part in the ongoing testing. This will require some knowledge of command line, as the early testing will be conducted using the CLI wallets.

Beam Space

The last Beam Space we covered the Beam DEX testing and improvements made thanks to the community, upcoming improvements including market making API, the Asset Minter updates, and the latest on Hardware Wallet integrations and the Beam Bridge!
