Beam Biweekly—Mar 2025 Ed. #1
Covers all the developments in the Beam ecosystem from March 1st - 16th 2025
Greetings Beamers!
The headline on the street is — A Beam Bridge to Arbitrum is coming this month.
This will be our second bridge release after the Beam to Ethereum Bridge in 2023. Our vision with the release of these bridges, is make to Beam interoperable with the greater Web3 multichain ecosystem; and also to serve as Web3’s de-facto privacy-preservation and private DeFi layer. The grander idea is to be available as a privacy-preserving layer to any Web3 user on any compatible chain.
Development Updates:
1. Initial testing of the Beam Layer-2 ‘Beam Warp’ consensus layer is due to start from next week.
2. The new ‘Beam Bridge to Arbritrum dApp’ is in the final stages of development and testing. Stay tuned for more details on our X!
3. New Website (Added the new roadmap update and other minor improvements).
4. Progress with upgrading the Beam Wallet on desktop to the latest QT6 framework. When this is completed, the scalability and UI of the Beam Wallet is expected to improve even further.
