This week came with the exciting and greatly anticipated anouncment of the BeamX launch!
Yes! You read right. The BeamX token, or rather confidential asset for those familiar, will be launching in just ten days, on the 21st of October! A huge event for all of us Beamers, and something we have all been looking forward to. More details on staking parameters, and the intricacies of the DAO will be shared in the coming days, so be sure to follow Beam Twitter to stay in the know!
Another exciting announcement is that of the the Beam Community Call taking place this coming Sunday, to discuss the upcoming Roadmap update. The call will centre around the plans moving forward as we shift from building blocks, to decentralised applications and use-cases to push adoption and privacy in the DeFi space! Prior to publishing the roadmap for Beam and BeamX the call will go over the teams ideas, and solicit feedback from Beamers. With the launch of the initial staking kicking off on the 21st this will also act as a great chance to hear more on the initial distribution phase for BeamX, some info on the inner workings of the DAO, and plans thereafter.

To stake or not to stake, that is the question!?
In Beams case, the answer is most certainly yes. For those that are gearing up for the October 21st BeamX launch and the initial staking phase, now is your chance to get prepared! The staking contract has been launched to testnet so if you haven’t already, get your testnet wallets and Beams up and running, get your stake on, and prepare for the incoming launch!
The DAO Core contracts will be launched soon after the staking phase kicks off, once a decent distribution has been achieved. This will enable Beamers to vote on various proposals, what they want to see, and how they want to see it. That’s one small step for Beam, one giant leap for privacy!
